eSciDoc Days 2011

The Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) and FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure are inviting to register for the 4th eSciDoc Days to be held on October 26 and 27, 2011, in Berlin, Germany.

The two-day conference will provide extensive information about collaborative eResearch environments and related challenges, e. g. the sustainable management of a growing amount of data throughout the research process and the provision of a publishing environment for research results and data. Experts with different background in scholarly information management will discuss the latest developments in building digital information infrastructures.

Kartenportal.CH: Bulletin d’information no. 1

Depuis août 2011 Kartenportal.CH publie un bulletin d’information qui apparaît en langue allemande et informera dans l’avenir deux fois par an de nouvelles du projet.

Le premier numéro permet un aperçu sur l'état actuel du projet, montre en futur les demandes d’utilisation pour la recherche géographique et informe de nouveaux partenaires.

eduhub Webinar: AI in Virtual Global Lecture Halls

Eduhub is offering the webinar “The ShanghAI Lectures: AI in Virtual Global Lecture Halls” on Thursday, August 11, 11-12 am.

The ShanghAI Lectures project is an annual lecture series on embodied natural and artificial intelligence, held via video conference and complemented by group exercises. It has the goal of exploring modern methods of knowledge transfer and bringing together students and researchers from various cultural and research backgrounds. The webinar is presented by Nathan Labhart from the Artificial Intelligence Lab, Department of Informatics at the University of Zurich.
