International Open Access Week

International Open Access Week will take place from 18 to 24 October 2010.
The aim is to publicise Open Access (OA) at many different locations worldwide during that week in order to broaden awareness of OA and to promote free access to the knowledge and information generated by publicly-funded research.
It offers you the opportunity to organise local events in order to promote Open Access in your own institution and to raise members’ awareness of the OA idea.
Open Access Week is a follow-up to international Open Access Day (annual conference) which takes place on 4 and 5 October at the State and University Library of Goettingen.
